Easy Ways to Get Involved:
- Host an open house at your SBHC
- Develop a virtual tour video of your SBHC
- Participate in School-Based Health Center Awareness Week
- Respond to and share e-mail action alerts on proposed legislation or news
- Attend partner lobby/educational days at the State Capitol
- Help explore ways to increase youth involvement
- Serve on an advocacy team to help promote state and federal policy reforms & plan lobby days
- Provide ideas about increasing membership in WVSBHA
- Brainstorm ideas about regional networking/learning sessions
- Serve on an ad hoc team to make data recommendations about school health
- Serve on a communications task team to give advice with support from professional media/public relations consultants to enhance communication strategies and materials
- Serve on an ad hoc clinical quality team to develop new tools for the field
- Represent WVSBHA at partnership/policy development meetings
- Work with a small team to help plan the WVSBHA Annual Meeting
- Give advice or provide assistance about increasing the special fund established by the Sisters of Saint Joseph Health and Wellness Foundation for future school-based health support
- Work with a team to transform already defined recommendations about school health expansion priorities
- Work with an ad hoc team to develop a business plan for the WVSBHA
