About Us
In order to bring partners interested in school-based health together, the West Virginia School-Based Health Assembly
was formed in 1995. The Assembly is an affiliate of the WV Primary Care Association. WVSBHA now serves as the lead
membership organization and unified voice in the state for the advancement of comprehensive school health services. As
a founding member of the National Assembly on School-Based Health Care, West Virginia is a leader in this field. We
advocate for the availability of comprehensive and coordinated school health services for children. Comprehensive

management of chronic diseases and health and medical services
- Health Education
- Mental health such as grief counseling, bullying and suicide prevention
